Youth Participation
There are many ways our youth can get involved in helping us with our mission to help homeless pets in our community.
Community Service Hours
If you need community service hours, this is an excellent opportunity for you to engage your community while helping to save lives of at-risk, adoptable pets.
Simple fundraising events such as (but not limited to) gift wrapping, auctions (traditional or creative), ornament sales, raffles, arts and craft fairs, car washes, digital cookbooks, candy jar guessing games, and holiday caroling can make a HUGE difference in saving the lives of pets in need. Have an idea in mind, drop us an email and include:
- Name of the fundraiser
- Fundraising activity
- How do you plan to educate others about SVPP’s mission?
- Event time, date, and duration
- Event location
DIY Projects
Fleece Blankets
We are always in need of warm fleece blankets for our cats, kittens, and small dogs.
These blankets not only keep them warm but go with them to their forever home. These blankets are easy to make, and a fun group activity.
Snuffle Mats
Snuffle mats provide enrichment for both dogs and cats! Hide treats in them and sit back and watch the fun!
Check out these instructions or watch this Youtube video to learn how to make snuffle mats!
We provide these to our foster parents for their foster pet’s enjoyment.
Have other ideas on how to get involved? We’d love to hear it!
Feel free to email us at volunteer@svpetproject.org and let us know how you’d like to support Silicon Valley Pet Project!
